Walk, Pastry and French Pastry History

A walk in the center of Paris between Rivoli and Opéra areas to learn more about French pastry history and taste several cakes. This journey for gourmets will end in a Café (more cakes and a drink ) which is one of the most historic famous historic venues in Paris where some traditional French pastries have been invented.

***

Estelle invites you on a gourmet stroll of 2 hours and a half or so through the historic heart of Paris and Parisian pastry shops, where architectural monuments rub shoulders with monuments of Parisian pastry, even sharing their names. We will stop at three gourmet locations linked to French culinary history, pastry shops, or cafés to sample three iconic French pastries, ending with a tasting in one of the Parisian establishments where some of these pastries were created, along with others that remain classics of French pastry-making, in a restored setting dating back to Napoleon III, from 1862 to be exact.

Highlights:

- Eat three iconic traditional French pastries: rhum baba, Saint-Honoré, and Opéra.

- Be in the heart of Paris outdoors, then in a historic and chic Parisian café with décor dating back to 1862.

- A history of French pastry, descriptions of the pastries and those who invented them. Estelle will be there to answer your questions and accompany you through the streets of gourmet Paris.

What to bring for the tour: your sweet tooth, your curiosity, and a healthy appetite (don't eat too much before the tour !), a good pair of shoes, a metro ticket, and that's it !
